It acts like sponge and absorbs water and later releases it slowly to the crops so as to ensure sustained supply of water as and when they need it. It influences infiltration rates, density, soil structure, texture and compaction. The Hydrogel enhances germination rates and improves physical properties of the soil. It also increases the water/moisture holding capacity of the soil and reduces soil erosion. Water loss due to evaporation is significantly reduced. It also substantially reduces leaching of nutrients in the soil and increases biological/ microbial activity in the soil. Further, it increases the oxygen/air availability in the root zone and doesn’t have any effect on soil pH and most importantly reduces water and fertilizer consumption and boosts yield.
